Right Way to Solve Bucket Elevator Ash Leak

(1) Gasket in the flange of the whole bucket elevator casing is damaged or leakage. Please replace a new one and smear sealant as well as retighten flange bolts.

(2) If materials leak from head section and base gap, please add gasket or smear sealant.

(3) If elevation difference of feeding materials is large, it will increase the feed pressure. So please change the feeding method and add the damping device. 

(4) The transmission chain is idling, please adjust the chain length.

(5) Installation of casing is not properly, please adjust the verticality of full casing length in a right positive.

What is the Role of Auxiliary Transmission Motor

Generally speaking, main motor of bucket elevator is used in normal operation,while auxiliary transmission motor is generally used in the repair time.
When the main motor breaks down,starts, or during the repair process, users can use the auxiliary transmission motor to help the main motor start up, or drive the main motor at low-running speed. 1. Embossing is commonly seen in the bend place. Generally speaking, according to the force requirements of bucket elevator middle casing, steel plate will be folded into geometric shapes (such as rectangle, etc.) or grooved shape in order to ensure and strengthen the intensity and stiffness of casing side. Through this kind of technology, it can enhance bucket elevator rigidity so that to prevent its deformation caused by uneven force. Meanwhile, material consumption and investment costs could be saved as well as to ensure the aesthetic appearance.

What Problems Will be in the Material Lifting Process of Bucket Elevator

In the material lifting process of bucket elevator, there may be such problems: insufficient material lifting rate, insufficient material discharging rate and material leakage phenomenon, only they are resolved timely ,the bucket elevator can have best effects .The reasons and solutions are as follows: 

(1) insufficient lifting rate:

The material is likely to be caked on the bucket or chute, clean and remove the materials regularly according to caking condition. There is also possibility that the storage capacity of bucket elevator upstream equipment is insufficient which causes less feeding material, as result, the bucket elevator can not reach the design capacity, so we should try to improve the production capacity of upstream equipment. If the speed is slow, we have to change the speed ratio of the sprocket. Or it is caused by improper or wrong material calculation, check the calculator and material proportion, calculate again.


(2) insufficient material discharging rate:
The capacity of bucket elevator downstream equipment is small, make the discharge chute block, so we should improve the capacity of the downstream equipment of bucket elevator. It may also cause by small chute size or inappropriate chute angle ,so adjust the discharging chute. There is also a possibility that the material is caked on the chain bucket or inside the chute, so we need to remove material and maintain the bucket elevator periodically.


(3) material leakage phenomenon:
If the material leaks from the gap of head section and bottom section, please add the sealing gasket or glue with sealant . Replace new sealing gasket ,glue with sealant and tight the flange bolts if there gasket of bucket elevator flange is broken. If it is caused by large material feeding height difference and feeding pressure, please change the material feeding method and add the feeding buffer device.

How to Solve Problem of Bucket Elevator Ash Blocking

After technicians analyze the situation and reasons of bucket elevator blockage, they have found that most this kind of situation is caused by unreasonable design of bucket elevator. Now PK Machinery has put forward two methods to solve ash blocking on connecting pipe of bucket elevator. 

1. Increase the tilt angle of this connecting pipe so as to increase the flow speed of coarse and fine ash in the tube and reduce the chance of plugging ash. But this programs need to improve the overall height of all scraper conveyor. 

2. Add a vibrator below the connecting pipe to make it send ash actively. Interlock vibrator and start-stop signal of removing ash system so that it can achieve intermittent vibration. Vibration time, frequency, intermittent time can be adjusted and added to the control system according to bucket elevator working condition to achieve automatic operation. This program can solve the phenomenon of ash blocking on connection pipe.
